Y-Tex uses a propriety laser mark called PureLaser. Y-Tex laser mark is 100% laser, (not ink over laser), dark and guaranteed to last the life of the animal.

949 FDX EID tags do not require a Premise ID Number.

840 EID tags do require a Premise ID Number and have been approved for use in the Official program separately or together to create matched sets. All Official USDA-AINMS Identification Tags are tamper evident and will be imprinted with the following information:

• Unlawful to Remove

• Y-TEX Logo

• Management number (Visual tag only)

EID Tags have a 15 digit number that will begin with the numbers 840 (the USA country code) or a 3 digit Manufacturer Code. The remaining 12 digits on the tag are unique to the individual animal. 840 tags comply with the requirements of the Animal Disease Traceability and require a Premise ID Number to purchase where Manufacture Code EID tags do not.
