Y-TEX Python pyrethroid Insecticide ear Strips (50/bag)
The NEW Y-Tex Python Insecticide Cattle Strip can be attached to an existing ID tag in the ear, providing the the protection of an insecticide tag without the need to apply a separate tag through the ear or make another hole. Python Strip has a key hole slit through which existing button can be manually fed, allowing Strip to lie flat between ear and button.PYthon® is a powerful pyrethroid tag containing a unique, synergized formulation of 10% zeta-cypermethrin and 20% piperonyl butoxide. PYthon® provides rapid, almost immediate pest knockdown. At one tag per head, PYthon® controls horn flies for 3 to 4 months and up to 5 months with two tags per head. PYthon® controls face flies, lice, Gulf Coast ticks and spinose ear ticks for 4 to 5 months with two tags per head. Aids in control of face flies with one tag per head. PYthon® aids in control of stable flies, black flies, house flies, and small horse flies for up to 5 months.
Synergized pyrethroid formula contains zetacypermethrin and piperonyl butoxide. Python Strip provides the same amount of insecticide as the traditional Python Insecticide Ear Tag. Approved for use on beef and dairy cattle, including calves and lactating dairy cows.Python® weighs 9.5 grams and can be applied to all beef and dairy animals, even newborn calves. PYthon® is ideal for rotation with WARRIOR™ or other organophosphate tags to manage horn fly resistance to insecticides.

PRODUCT ADVANTAGES: In late Spring, attach 2 Python Strips (1 per ear) to control horn flies, face flies, lice, Gulf Coast ticks, and spinose ear ticks for 4-5 months and to aid in the control of stable flies, black flies, house flies, and small horse flies. Attach 1 Python Strip to control horn flies for about 3-4 months and as an aid in the control of face flies.
Apply in late Fall for season-long lice control during the Winter.
Please be aware: Strip should not be used until the ID tag application site has completely healed. Preferably, use with ID tags that were applied the previous season or earlier. When using in calves, consider the weight of ID Tag plus Python Strip. Ear damage may result in young calves. 9.5 grams.
